Strictly Come Dancing fans have been left in suspense over who will fill the shoes of beloved hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, and now a former star of the show has thrown an unexpected name into the hat.
Gleb Savchenko, the Russian dancer and choreographer who once graced the Strictly dance floor and has since appeared on Dancing with the Stars in the US, has shared his thoughts on the matter.
The 42-year-old, who partnered with Celebrity Race Across the World's Anita Rani during his stint on Strictly, reminisced about his time on the show in a recent interview and also weighed in on the speculation surrounding Tess and Claudia's successors after they bid farewell to the series at the end of this year.
Names that have been bandied about as potential replacements include Zoe Ball, Holly Willoughby, Bradley Walsh and Fleur East.
Reflecting on his Strictly journey, Gleb told Covers: "With Anita, every week was so sick, every week we did such a great job. That girl worked so hard. I had to give it to her - Anita was one of the most hardworking people in the room.", reports Wales Online.
"She coped with me because sometimes I could turn into a Russian dictator with her. She really tried and really nailed it every week.
"We rehearsed so much - I had a really good time on Strictly. I only danced for one season, but it was cool. It was an experience, taking the tube every morning to rehearsals and being freezing cold in Elstree Studios. Then we went on tour to so many places."
Gleb and Anita lit up the dance floor together in 2015, making it all the way to the semi-finals. He added: "Put Anita Rani as the host! She's funny and cool, a good person.
"Look, I love Tess and Claudia. I was only on for one season but Claudia is so funny. They're also part of the brand - again, I'm not a producer, and there's higher powers who could be changing whatever they need to be changing in order to keep the show going, so I don't know. I think they're both great, but let's see who will be the next host."
When asked how he handles difficult dance partners, he admitted: "It's f**king hard! Listen, it's part of your job and you have to suck it up and do your job.
"That's when you become a good pro, because you cover all the minuses and bring out all the pluses, then let the public and judges decide. There's nothing you can do."
As for the current series of Strictly, Gleb is rooting for Emmerdale actor Lewis Cope and his professional partner Katya Jones to win the glitterball trophy.
He said: ""Katya [Jones] and Lewis' [Cope] recent dance was amazing. Katya is killing it!
I've known Katya and Neil Jones since their competition days, even before they got on Strictly.
We competed and danced together, so they're my friends. ".
