Strictly Come Dancing star breaks silence after not to returning to final

The star won't be returning to this year's final after his early exit

Strictly Come Dancing's Thomas Skinner has taken to social media following the announcement that he won't be returning for the show's grand finale.

The final live show is set for this Saturday evening, with George Clarke and partner Alexis Warr, Karen Carney and Carlos Gu, and Amber Davies and Nikita Kuzmin all competing for the glitterball trophy.

In line with tradition, several of their fellow competitors from this series will return for special appearances and a group number, including Vicky Pattison and Alex Kingston.

However, it's been disclosed that former Apprentice star Thomas won't be making a comeback, despite his dance partner Amy Dowden hitting the dance floor just weeks after her second mastectomy.

Thomas hasn't yet commented on his absence but has returned to social media to promote his fish stall, The Lairy Lobster, reports Wales Online.

He posted a video on X encouraging fans to visit his stall, writing: "Good Morning you lovely people and happy Thursday! Wishing you all a wonderful day, we have been up since 2am.

"We are gonna be busy down at The Lairy Lobster, we have loads of new bits in for Christmas and we are still taking orders for our Christmas platters!.

"We are open today, tomorrow, Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday every day from 9.30 am and then we are also open on the Wednesday (Christmas Eve, we will be shutting at 2pm on the eve of Christmas) because I want a Christmas pint!

"Thank you for keeping us nice an busy, come down and say hello."

He signed off with: "See you soon, we are in the Christmas spirit. Bosh."

During his time on Strictly, which ended with him being the first celebrity to be voted off, Thomas found himself at the centre of controversy.

He later admitted that he regretted participating due to the "constant abuse" he endured.

In a post on X earlier this year, he vented: "I've had enough of all this b*******.

"I can't do anything right now without someone criticising me. Or making me do something against my will. It's bulls***."

He continued: "I wish I never done Strictly, I never fitted the bill for that show let's be honest. And it's caused me nothing but agg. Constant abuse."

He expressed frustration that despite his efforts to "spread positivity online", he felt a "a narrative spun against me".

He added: "I went out to work in my van this morning and I'm either getting beeped at or people putting their thumb up at me. I've honestly had enough. Now people I've supported my whole life are starting to turn on me because they see what's going on online. It ain't real life.

"I think I need to take a break and concentrate on me and my family. Because I ain't one to admit I'm struggling. But I honestly am. I'm honestly tired of all this nonsense.

"Can no one see what's happening to me, I don't know why I've become this target. I've always been the one that's been solid. But I've really really had enough now. Bosh."
