Scrubs enthusiasts have been treated to a first glimpse of the beloved medical comedy's revival next year.

The much-anticipated tenth series of Bill Lawrence's creation will debut in February 2026, nearly 16 years since the original programme wrapped up in March 2010.

Featuring Zach Braff, Sarah Chalke and Donald Faison, Scrubs chronicled a group of medical trainees at the fictional Sacred Heart Hospital as they juggled their personal relationships with the demands of their careers.

Scrubs swiftly captured audiences with its eccentric wit whilst occasionally pulling at viewers' emotions through moving narratives. Prior to series ten's launch on 25th February on ABC, a brief preview clip has been unveiled revealing the central trio's comeback, reports the Mirror.

In the footage, Braff's John 'JD' Dorian boldly announces "I'm back!", alongside Elliot Reid (portrayed by Chalke) and Christopher Turk (Faison), to a collection of fresh interns (Ava Bunn, Jacob Dudman, David Gridley, Layla Mohammadi, and Amanda Morrow) who haven't got a clue who he is.

He subsequently tries mimicking his hostile supervisor Dr Perry Cox (John C McGinley) before the chap himself materialises from behind a screen to ridicule him and nurse Carla Espinosa (Judy Reyes) steps forward to support him.

Scrubs lovers were thrilled to witness their first preview of the main cast's stunning comeback. One viewer posted on X: "I LOVED this show first time around! Fingers crossed it is good again.

"I'm actually so excited for this, my first favourite show ever is coming back! !" another agreed. The excitement continued on Reddit, where one commenter reasoned: "I worry about this being good, but Bill Lawrence has been killing everything he works on lately.

"Ted Lasso and Shrinking are probably two of the best comedies on TV in a long time. I have confidence this will be pretty good."

Someone else wrote: "I'm so excited for this. Just looking at these screencaps, you can see that it's got the right energy." However, opinions were admittedly split as some Scrubs enthusiasts would have preferred the series to remain in the past.

"Noooo...Noooooo.NOOOOOOOOO," one X user exclaimed. "We need to let good things rest .... This is too much now."

All nine episodes of the new season of Scrubs will also be streaming on Hulu, and there's speculation the series will be available on Disney+ in the UK.
