Netflix is set to remove a "perfect film" featuring stars from Slow Horses, Peaky Blinders and two Marvel moive legends.
As the New Year kicks off, a host of memorable films are being added to Netflix's vast library - but many popular titles are also being dropped.
From the Harry Potter series to Jaws, Mad Men and Suits, fan favourites will soon be unavailable for streaming on Netflix, and now an Oscar Award-winning film has joined the list.
With an impressive 93% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, fans have been singing the praises of this period drama thriller since its release three years ago.
One viewer posted: "This film is a masterclass in weaving narratives and different time periods while exploring the profound depths of a man whose actions altered the world's trajectory forever, for better or worse.", reports the Mirror.
Another fan simply described it as "gripping, suspenseful and surprisingly intimate".
Based on a true story, Oppenheimer features physicist J Robert Oppenheimer (played by Cillian Murphy) assigned to work on a top secret project during the Second World War.
His task is to develop the atomic bomb, dedicating years to the controversial Manhattan Project until his work comes to fruition on July 16, 1945, when they witness the world's first nuclear explosion.
The three-hour film scooped an impressive seven Academy Awards at the 96th Oscars in 2024, including Best Picture, Best Director for Christopher Nolan and Best Actor for Murphy.
Murphy is far from the only recognisable star in Oppenheimer, as he's joined by Iron Man icon Robert Downey Jr, who won Best Supporting Actor, Little Women actress Florence Pugh and Nolan's long-time collaborator, acting legend Gary Oldman.
Other major cast members include Emily Blunt, Josh Hartnett, Matt Damon and Rami Malek. Sadly, fans don't have much time left to watch Oppenheimer on Netflix, as the film is scheduled to leave the streaming platform on Sunday, January 11.
"After a busy career filled with masterpieces, Christopher Nolan finally succeeded in creating a perfect film," a fan praised.
"In fact, Oppenheimer might be the best film I have watched in a long, long time." A fellow fan commented: "Oppenheimer is - with no doubt- going to be one of the best movies in history.
"Amazing cinematography, Exceptional acting and terrifying Soundtracks."
Numerous fans have labelled it a "cinematic masterpiece", with one viewer elaborating: "This film will undoubtedly leave a lasting impression on viewers, solidifying its place as one of the greatest achievements in modern cinema."
