Miriam Margolyes proved so "naughty" during a recent interview that the majority of her conversation couldn't be aired.

The Harry Potter star was described as a "favourite" guest by Capital Breakfast presenters Sian Welby, Jordan North and Chris Stark this year, though the trio confessed they repeatedly hit the censor button throughout her appearance, meaning listeners heard only a fraction of what was discussed.

Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz about Miriam, Sian revealed: "Oh she's very naughty."

Jordan echoed: "Very naughty, one of our favourite guests this year, we had her on recently."

Sian elaborated: "Because Miriam, we have a special button for like, when you can't put whatever is being said out on air and we abuse that button, we abused it so much there was only a little bit of that interview that was suitable for our listeners."

The presenting team have welcomed numerous celebrity guests throughout the year, and topping their 2026 wishlist is Harry Styles.

Jordan revealed: "We want Harry Styles on the show in the New Year, there is rumours he's working on a new album, so we want him on the show, I think if we can get Harry Styles on the show we will be happy."

Elsewhere, Sian paid tribute to the behind-the-scenes crew, highlighting their dedication and describing them as the "best team in the world".

She explained: "Putting on the show, it's a massive collaboration, we have the best team in the world, the best exec producer, the best senior producers, and we all come together and after every show plan the next day.

"It's four hours, it's live, it's relentless, it's Saturday Night Takeaway, it's four hours every single day and then the next day we start again and our standards are that high we are trying to make TV look at what we're doing.

"Back in the day it would be the other way round, and now we are sort of trying to keep the TV lot on their toes and go, 'Look at what we're doing over here.' ".
