Joel Dommett and his wife Hannah Cooper have confessed to feeling a bit nervous as they gear up to welcome their second child.

The star of The Masked Singer and his wife, who are already parents to two year old son Wilde, are preparing to add another member to their family this year.

Despite being someone who "genuinely loves being a dad", telly favourite Joel admitted to some anxieties as they anticipate the arrival of their new baby.

"We're excited, but I think 'petrified' is winning in the emotional state," the ITV show told the Mirror.

"The idea of looking after one child is one thing, but the idea of another kid being there and you having to look after that one - I just can't imagine how chaotic it's going to be."

Joel and Hannah, who have been together for a decade and wedded for six years, have decided to keep the gender of their second child a surprise, reports the Express.

"There's no secrets any more, really," Joel elaborates. "So it's quite nice to have one thing that you can't find out about and for people to be excited about."

Joel also shed light on his relationship, emphasising that communication is "really important" to them.

He continued: "Making sure you air all of your graces and annoyances but also share the happy bits and help each other - it's difficult, but it's worth it."

The TV personality hosts The Masked Singer on ITV, with stars such as Davina McCall, Maya Jama, Mo Gilligan and Jonathan Ross serving on the judging panel.

The programme kicked off in 2020 and has since amassed a significant fanbase. It showcases celebrities belting out well-known tunes while concealed within an assortment of extravagant costumes.

The panel of judges then endeavours to deduce their identities based on a series of hints and their vocal performances.

Joel, aged 40, expressed that everyone involved in the production cherishes being part of it and recognises how "lucky" they are to contribute to the show.

"From the costume people to the taxi drivers who get excited because they have a secret they can't tell anyone, everyone just loves the show," he said.

The Masked Singer is broadcast on ITV.
