Made in Chelsea's Charlie Frederick is reportedly set to join Love Island: All Stars.

The former Channel 4 reality TV star, who appeared on the 2018 series of Love Island and was briefly coupled up with Hayley Hughes, 29, before their swift exit from the villa, is said to be making a comeback.

The 29-year-old model, who first graced Made in Chelsea as Sam Holmes' best mate in 2020, has allegedly been convinced by bosses to return to the villa for the ITV2 show's spin-off series, which reunites memorable islanders from previous seasons.

An insider revealed to The Sun: "Charlie's been in the gym non-stop since he spoke to bosses about returning to the show.

"He went too early when he was on the 2018 series, the first time – this time he wants to find love!".

During an appearance on Love Island: Aftersun - a talk show hosted by the late Caroline Flack, where she interviewed contestants and discussed their views on various topics and individuals - Charlie suggested that his stay on the show would have been longer had he not been paired with Hayley.

Upon hearing his remarks, Hayley labelled Charlie as "bitter". In a subsequent appearance on ITV's Lorraine, the pair declined to sit next to each other in the studio, leading Charlie to comment that "we're just frosty cause I'm a bit gutted to be honest."

He added: "You just want to get your own piece across. I'm bitter and angry, not to her; I can't hold a grudge.

"It is what it is. I feel like I've been hard done by, and my chance has been taken away from me. It was so much fun, I'm missing it."

Following host Lorraine Kelly's playful suggestion for Charlie to "go away" so Hayley could be interviewed alone, the 66 year old presenter left him describing the moment as "so awkward" as he departed the studio.

Hayley - who entered from the opposite side of the studio to dodge walking past Charlie - faced questions about their romance.

She admitted: "Maybe near the end, I was a bit cold. I think that is something I need to work on. If I'm not interested in someone or can't see it going any further, I pull away."

Following their split, Charlie began dating Instagram model Natalie Clowes. He also had relationships with 2019 Love Island contestants Lucie Donlan, 27, and 34 year old Arabella Chi.

During Charlie and Arabella's relationship, she kept her participation in the dating programme secret from him.

This prompted him to blast her for deceiving him on his Instagram Stories, where Charlie wrote: "Wow Love Island you wanna have my f****** life any more? ! ! !".

"Both my exes in the villa f****** madness."

The third series of Love Island: All Stars launches on January 12.

The second series of Love Island: All Stars - which broadcast earlier this year - was claimed by Gabby Allen, 33, and her now former partner, 29-year-old Casey O'Gorman.
