Ana De Armas had a burning question for Jacob Elordi as the duo mingled at the Golden Globes, where they were photographed holding hands.
Brief footage of the Deep Water co-stars shows Ana, 37, and Jacob, 28, in conversation inside the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles.
The actress - who recently ended her relationship with boyfriend Tom Cruise - appeared thrilled as she engaged in a quick chat with him whilst attending the 83rd Golden Globes on Sunday, January 11.
Wearing a dazzling black sequin gown, Ana looked absolutely radiant as she enthusiastically spoke to Jacob.
Now, an expert lipreader has offered her interpretation of what the pair discussed as they chatted in the footage where they clasped hands and beamed at each other.
Nicola Hickling disclosed that Ana was revealing her whereabouts in the venue as she said, "We're over there, yeah, it's gonna be a long night, you ready [to dance]?" She is then seen beginning to dance in front of Jacob.
His reply, though, seems to be somewhat less keen than the question put to him, as he glanced around uncomfortably and according to Nicola responded, "I have work tomorrow.", reports the Mirror US.
Ana and Mission Impossible star Tom, 63, called time on their romance last year after initially being connected to one another in February 2025. Following numerous public outings and even marking her birthday with a helicopter journey piloted by Tom in London, the relationship eventually petered out.
Sources revealed in October 2025 that their relationship had "ran its course" and confirmed the pair were no longer an item. One insider shared: "They just realized they weren't going to go the distance and that they are better off as mates. The spark had gone between them, but they still love each other's company, and they've both been really adult about it."
They told The Sun: "She's already been cast in his next film, so they will continue to work together."
Meanwhile, Jacob recently called time on his romance with Lori Loughlin's daughter Olivia Jade, which kicked off in 2021.
Whilst they briefly gave things another go, a source told People in October that their relationship was "fully over" and they weren't planning on reconciling. However, there's no indication that Ana and Jacob are anything beyond good friends.
At the Golden Globes, Jacob received a nomination for Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role in any Motion Picture for his part in Frankenstein, which also scored a nod for Best Motion Picture - Drama.
Jacob missed out to Stellan Skarsgård who bagged the acting gong for his performance in Sentimental Value. Meanwhile, Hamnet, which stars Irish actors Jessie Buckley and Paul Mescal as Agnes Shakespeare and William Shakespeare was awarded Best Motion Picture.
