Kim Kardashian's legal drama All's Fair has been given the green light for a second season - despite some brutal reviews.
Disney+ have commissioned another series of Ryan Murphy's show, which boasts a star-studded cast including Naomi Watts, Niecy Nash-Betts, Teyana Taylor, Matthew Noszka, Sarah Paulson and Glenn Close. The decision comes after it became the biggest Hulu Original scripted series premiere in three years, based on the first three days of streaming.
The show, which debuted earlier this month, will conclude its first season with a two-episode finale airing internationally on December 9. All's Fair, penned and executive produced by Murphy, follows Kardashian and her co-stars as a group of female divorce lawyers who leave their male-dominated firm to start their own practice.
Despite its impressive viewership, the show hasn't been a hit with critics. Currently, All's Fair holds a mere 3% on Rotten Tomatoes' Tomatometer, a tool that measures the recommendations of professional entertainment critics.
Writers at the Guardian called it a "disaster" with "dismal plots" and "clueless characters". However, the show fares better with audiences, scoring 66 per cent on the website's Popcornmeter, which features audience reviews.
Glenn Close, one of the stars of the show, recently revealed she's watched the entire first series of All's Fair, and declared it as "pretty f***ing good". Speaking to The Guardian, she said: "I swear to God, I've seen all nine episodes and it's pretty f***ing good.
"It is what it is: it's juicy and outrageous at times and touching." The Fatal Attraction actress also had kind words for co-star Kim, describing her as "lovely" to work with and "very smart".
Close shared: "She's lovely! And very smart. Very, very conscientious with her kids. When we were filming she was going through working towards her law degree, and near the end she would have flashcards.
"She now has her law degree, and I asked her, 'Are you going to practise? And she said, 'No, I just want it in my back pocket.'"
Glenn also recently confessed to Newsweek that she was "very impressed" with Kim during their time working together on the Disney+ show, saying: "I hope when they see the show that they get value from it. And I have to say, I'm very impressed with Kim."
