Jack Osbourne's wife has spoken out about his jungle stint following suggestions that it's "too soon" after father Ozzy's passing.
Jack's involvement in I'm A Celebrity arrives just months after the legendary musician passed away in July aged 76. Previous campmate Dean McCullough and presenter Alison Hammond have both previously suggested it's too soon for Jack to have taken part.
This follows Kelly Brook's spouse addressing allegations she had behaved like a 'bully' towards Jack.
Dean and Alison highlighted how he has frequently become emotional when speaking about his father. However, spouse Aree has stated that participating in the programme has proved positive for Jack.
When questioned about taking part during a "very difficult time in his life", wife Aree responded: "Yeah, and I think it's kind of a funny time to be doing something like this, but it's helpful.", reports the Daily Star.
Jack has regularly become upset whilst discussing his rock legend father. Earlier this week he was spotted weeping on Eddie Kadi's shoulder, and he commented afterwards: "Yesterday was a bit of a delicate day for me...
"I was doing OK, and then I realised it was the four months since my dad died. Had a good cry with Eddie... but ultimately I'm happy, I'm really happy I'm here."
Hammond has previously questioned his participation in the programme when she featured on I'm A Celebrity: Unpacked. She expressed: "He struggles.
"Even when he sees other people cooking, he's like, "I want to get involved". If you're gonna step back, step back.
"I think he should just chill for a bit. I actually feel it's too soon for him to be in the jungle."
When asked by host Joel Dommett, 40, if her comments were about Ozzy, Alison confirmed: "Yeah, I think maybe he should've waited a bit. I found it quite painful seeing his pain on camera."
Radio 1 host McCullough concurred, stating: "Just looking at him, I don't think he should be in there. It's too soon.
"His dad only died in July, and it's such a volatile, nerve-wracking place. There is nothing comfortable about the jungle. And I just feel like he needs a bit of support."
ITV are reportedly keeping a close eye on Jack as part of their duty of care responsibilities. Aree also had something to say about Jack taking on kitchen duties, which has already led to a clash with Kelly Brook.
She said: "What I found really funny when the show started was how he made himself the camp chef and I noticed how all the women sort of realized that he kind of micro-managed in the kitchen, and he is most certainly like that at home."
Before entering the Jungle, Jack admitted that being away from wife Aree and his four children will be tough.
He confessed: "It's absolutely going to be hard leaving them behind...it's not the longest amount of time I've been away from them.
"I've gone on different trips filming Adrenaline Junkie for nearly two months without a phone, but I still had access to one and I was able to make calls home. It's going to be very difficult not speaking to my wife and kids. But yes, I do hope I can make my family proud."
