A well-known podcaster and actress has shared her thoughts on what Kate Middleton will bring to the role of Queen.
Giovanna Fletcher, who also writes books, believes Kate and Prince William will offer a "welcome change" when they eventually ascend to the throne. The 40-year-old had the opportunity to interview the 43-year-old Kate back in 2020 for her Happy Mum, Happy Baby podcast, discussing the challenges of motherhood.
Reflecting five years later on Kate's character beyond the public persona, Giovanna was effusive in her praise for the future monarch, suggesting that neither Kate nor William are under any illusions about their destiny.
Speaking to The Times, Giovanna remarked: "She's full of heart. I think she'll be a queen who really listens, who leans in, who's very aware of what's going on - like the King with the King's Trust.
"I think [the Prince and Princess of Wales] are going into it with their eyes completely open. I don't feel like it's 'us v them'. We have to work together as a society to make that change happen [and] I think they get it. They understand things. And so, for that reason, I think it will be a welcome change", reports the Mirror.

This marks another occasion where Kate and William's eventual leadership of the monarchy has come under scrutiny, with William having previously acknowledged his intentions to modernise the institution.
During a conversation with Canadian actor Eugene Levy on the performer's 'The Reluctant Traveller' Apple programme, William spoke candidly about his future reign. He stated: "I think it's safe to say that change is on my agenda. Change for good, and I embrace that, I enjoy that change.
"I don't fear it, that's the bit that excites me, the idea of being able to bring some change. Not overly radical, but changes that I think need to happen."
William further expressed that as he has progressed in his life, he has become more adept at questioning things and their relevance in today's world.
He continued: "There are points when you look at tradition and go, is that still fit for purpose today? Is that still the right thing to do? Are we still doing and having the most impact we could be having?".
"So I like to question things, is what I'm really getting at....I hope we don't go back to some of the practices in the past that Harry and I grew up in. And I'll do everything I can to make sure we don't regress in that situation."
