Angelina Jolie is "excited" about the prospect of moving overseas.

The 50-year-old actress has put her Los Angeles home on the market as she gears up for a life beyond the US. A source revealed to People: "She's ready for a life that isn't centred in Los Angeles."

Angelina, who was married to actor Brad Pitt from 2014 to 2019, is now looking towards the future with a sense of optimism. The insider shared: "There are a lot of projects she's excited about and she's feeling good.

"She's looking forward to 2026 and the flexibility she'll have then." It was previously suggested by a source that Angelina - who shares Maddox, 24, Pax, 22, Zahara, 20, Shiloh, 19, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 17, with her ex-husband - never really wanted to live in Los Angeles at all.

The insider told People in August that the film star "never wanted to live in LA full time. She didn't have a choice because of the custody arrangement with Brad."

The source added that the actress "plans to relocate as soon as Knox and Viv turn 18 next year. She's eyeing several locations abroad. She'll be very happy when she's able to leave Los Angeles."

Meanwhile, Angelina has previously confessed that her motivations have shifted over the course of her career. The actress portrayed opera singer Maria Callas in the biographical drama film Maria in 2024 and explained how she now identifies with her on-screen character.

The Academy Award-winning actress shared with Sky News: "There's this kind of study of being human that we do when we create, and we communicate with an audience because our work is not in isolation - it's a connection.

"I think when I was younger, I had different questions about being human and different feelings and now as I've gotten older, I understand some things and now I have different questions."

Angelina found a personal connection to her character due to her own life experiences.

She expressed: "It's a matter of life, right? And so maybe that's interesting that this now is a character really contemplating death and really contemplating the toll of certain things in life that I, of course, couldn't have understood in my 20s."
