EastEnders viewers were left stunned as Jasmine Fisher confessed to causing harm to Cindy Beale, but fans reckon they've sussed out her true identity.
In Monday's episode (November 24), newcomer Jasmine (played by Indeyarna Donaldson-Holness) continued her strange obsession with Cindy (Michelle Collins), which didn't go unnoticed.
After realising that her National Insurance number was incorrect, Cindy suspected Jasmine might be linked to Jackie Ford. Cindy confronted Jasmine about her real identity, leading to a dramatic tumble down the stairs.
On Tuesday (November 25), Oscar Branning (Pierre Moullier) found Cindy unconscious on the pavement and dashed to the Beales' house to alert them.
The family rushed to the hospital while Oscar went back to find Jasmine hastily packing her bags to leave. He questioned her involvement in Cindy's accident, leading her to confess that she had pushed Cindy down the stairs, reports OK!.
Despite Jasmine insisting it was self-defence against Cindy, Oscar believed the incident was purely accidental.
Meanwhile, Cindy underwent surgery for her injured elbow, but Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) revealed doctors were worried about potential complications.
Following a successful operation, Cindy remained in hospital overnight – but received an unexpected visitor. Jasmine stood over Cindy's bed before departing, though Cindy regained consciousness and witnessed her leaving.
As Jasmine didn't harm Cindy, some EastEnders viewers are convinced the pair aren't connected.
In a surprising turn, fans are now speculating that Jasmine is seeking revenge on her biological mum Zoe Slater (Michelle Ryan), who is presently being tormented by an unknown individual.
Taking to X, one viewer explained: "So Jasmine turns up to check on her. If it were Cindy in her sights, she would have done something to her while she was lying there. I'm still convinced she's Zoe's child. This scene was just a red herring."
A second asked: "Can someone explain to me what the point of this scene was. Like how did it develop the story, or either character? Also, if she's a Ford there for Cindy, why did she need access to Anthony's computer?".
A third chimed in: "'Even though I probably have nothing to do with you, I'm just going to stand menacingly over you in the hospital and then leave for no reason at all.'".
"#Eastenders I don't think Jasmine is part of the Ford family now", said one viewer, while another predicted: "Jasmine can't be anything to do with the Fords, pretty obvious if she is, but it's also really obvious if she's Zoe's 'dead' baby #EastEnders."
While one fan confessed: "I assume that Jasmine isn't a Ford (whoever they are? ) and she's instead Zoe's stalker #eastenders.
"I think the Ford/Cindy thing is a red herring, and Jasmine has actually been terrorising Zoe this whole time as revenge for abandoning her as a baby, added another.
"Zoe's her mum and Anthony's her dad. Probably wanted to snoop in Anthony's surgery to find out more about him. #eastenders."
