Coronation Street devotees believe they've spotted a looming issue for Tyrone Dobbs as his and wife Fiz's struggles are set to intensify this week.
Regular viewers of the ITV soap will recall the couple's heartbreak in September when Tyrone was the unfortunate victim of a hit and run. Fans were taken aback when it was Tyrone, an innocent bystander, who was struck after a speeding car swerved to avoid Betsy Swain.
It later came to light that Carl Webster was the one at the helm during his car theft escapade, but he's remained tight-lipped and is now scheming to con his sister, Debbie Webster, by exploiting her dementia diagnosis.
In the aftermath of the hit-and-run, Tyrone disclosed that he couldn't feel his legs and following surgery, the mechanic has returned home to continue his recovery, although he has encountered obstacles.
Cassie Plummer was seen assisting her son with his exercises as part of his ongoing rehab. However, upon receiving a text from Steve McDonald, she made a swift exit, reports the Manchester Evening News.
Elsewhere on the cobbles, Fiz was seen making a decision and instead of heading home, she asked Tim Metcalfe to give her a lift into town. But when Cassie returned to No.
9, she was appalled to find Tyrone writhing in pain on the floor having fallen out of his wheelchair.
Since that time, Tyrone has attempted to get back to work at the garage in an administrative capacity, but has found himself at odds with Kevin Webster, who is grappling with the breakdown of his marriage to Abi following her fling with his half-brother, Carl.
During Monday's (November 24) instalment of Corrie, Fiz was spotted telling Tyrone Dobbs that she was planning to visit her mum, Cilla Battersby-Brown, when in reality she'd booked herself into the Chariot Square Hotel for some much-needed tranquillity. Meanwhile, Cassie accompanied Tyrone to his physiotherapy session and was delighted with his improvement.
However, Corrie fans have made a forecast about what lies in store for the pair, after Fiz was displeased to learn that Tyrone had been purchasing games and add-ons online.
On Reddit, Smokinbud commented: "Today's episode contained the second hint to this, with him giving Fizz as little time as possible in an important conversation to play his mobile game. He's also spent a couple of 100 on games writing it off as not understanding trial periods. Anyone else think this is an upcoming story line? I reckon it's got potential him getting sucked into a mobile game and dropping a ton of money they don't have."
Jolly_Courage_7453 responded: "I didn't buy the 'trial' comment. I figured he's bored out of his mind and treated himself."
doveandchartreuse remarked: "I caught that too, I think it's going to be a gaming/gambling addiction type story brewing."
Riggers82 chimed in: "I was also wondering if they were doing this alongside Fiz perimenopause storyline and struggling to cope with it all."
