Angry Ginge admitted he wanted to quit I'm A Celeb 'so many times' before eventually being crowned King of the Jungle.

The YouTuber and streamer, whose real name is Morgan Burtwistle, was named champion of this year's show during Sunday's finale (December 7). Coming out on top ahead of runner-up Tom Read Wilson, the 24-year-old streamer won the hearts of viewers with his humour, resilience and candid personality during his three-week stint in the jungle.

On being named King of the Jungle, he exclaimed: "I don't think I can swear, but I feel amazing. Honestly, a dream come true.

"I didn't think I could go all this way never mind win. Thank you to everyone who voted."

Having gained popularity through his football content and fiery online rants, boasting over 1.4 million followers on Twitch and 900,000 subscribers on YouTube, he also confessed that the experience was more challenging than he had anticipated, telling hosts Ant and Dec: "Nobody warned me... No one said it was going to be that hard. I'm so glad I done it though.

"That was the hardest thing I've ever done and was a real mental test. There were so many times I wanted to throw the towel in."

Tom Read Wilson, 39, the Celebs Go Dating star who joined the camp later in the series, finished as runner-up, while former EastEnders actress Shona McGarty, 34, secured third place.

Reflecting on his time in the jungle, Tom shared: "I think, historically, I have tendency to be a little bit introspective sometimes and that's not very good for me.

"What you had to be in the jungle is with an outward lens because of the people and also because of the nature. Everything you look at and hear is majestic.

"Your whole focus has to be out and then you sort of forget this corporeal thing and you're a floating soul. It's a very nice way to live, but it takes an awfully long time to get used to it."

Meanwhile, Ex-Eastender Shona shared with the presenters: "I feel great. I made it this far, I can't believe it. I ticked every box, I've done it all."

Despite displaying chemistry with fellow campmate Aitch, Shona maintained she felt like an "older sister" to the 25 year old rapper.

Comedy legend Ruby Wax, former EastEnders actor Martin Kemp, reality personality Jack Osbourne and Emmerdale's Lisa Riley were amongst the celebrities who had already left the jungle during the series.
